The metal has been formed into a stylised cross and an image of 'Invicta' the symbol of the County of Kent has been fretted and punched / scribed from a sheet of brass and pinned to the front. During the Second World War, an Italian prisoner of war camp (no. 282) was located near Brissenden Green, the precise location is believed to be Honghorst House, the camp was associated with another at Woodchurch, near Tenterden in Kent
