The metal has been formed into a stylised cross and an image of ‘Invicta’ the symbol of the County of Kent has been fretted and punched / scribed from a sheet of brass and pinned to the front. The reverse has a hanging point welded on and a small piece of brass has been pinned on with the inscription ‘Parts of V1, Horsmonden, Kent, 1944, R.A.F.’ and signed ‘Bill’This is part of a small collection which was sold from a property in Goudhurst, near Horsmonden, and believed to originate from either the Horsmonden or Brenchley forge during the war.Measures 113mm x 114mm
