probably a 1970's copy of the German Crimea Shield. It looks like it's been taken from a uniform with some wear and picking to the cloth edges, the shield face is finished in a bright look with the reverse a nice rusty look to it, a good copy with a good appearance

Instituted on 1 June 1940, the General Assault badge was created for pioneers, and later extended to other support personnel who did not qualify for either the Infantry Assault Badge or the Panzer Assault Badge.
