WW1 pair to M2-265726 Private F. Ambrose, Army Service Corps swing mounted on a medal bar.A very attractive hallmarked silver and enamel medal issued by the Sydenham & District Motor Club in 1931. The front of the medal shows a goddess with a trumpet and a laurel wreath standing on a winged wheel. It bears the inscription in yellow and black enamel, “Sydenham Motor Club”. The reverse is professionally hand engraved, “Presidents Trophy Trail, F.C. Ambrose 1931”, in it’s original Birmingham Medal Company box of issue.Weybridge Motor Sport Club stamped silver and enamel sports medallion engraved ‘A Thorney Trail 1930 F.C. Ambrose’ in it’s original Birmingham Medal Company box of issue.Similar style but different Weybridge Motor Sport Club medallion engraved ‘Captain Vickers 1932 F.C. Ambrose’ no box.Hallmarked silver medallion engraved to front ‘CMC’ and reverse engraved ‘Godfrey Cup Trail 1932 E. Ambrose’ (note – some scratching out of the capitol E to look like an F!)
